PROVIDERS
Zac Milam, lmhc, ncc, CIMHP, ADHD-CCSP
As a licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years of experience, I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings. This includes community mental health, schools, home based services. telehealth, integrated care, and private practice. For the majority of my career, I've acted as both a supervisor and clinician. Just prior to entering into private practice, I was a lead therapist over three clinics in an integrated care setting.
I tend to be strengths focused and supportive while implementing an integrative modality in my practice. I also approach individuals from a functional perspective with focus on nutrition, sleep, and activity in order to promote the wellness of the person as a whole. However, this does not mean it is the answer to everything.
In therapy, my goal is to create an environment of acceptance and comfort. I want you to feel at ease in order to fully express yourself. It is my desire to earn your trust and honor the pace at which you feel safest in your treatment. With your permission, I would also like to work collaboratively with other providers and prescribers that care for you in order to best meet your needs.
Outside of my role as a clinician, I'm a husband and father who enjoys hiking, running, canoeing, camping, playing and listening to music, reading, cooking, journaling, traveling, and hockey. I’m self-motivated and easy going. I love to learn and strive for growth and self-improvement. My current goals are to continue my education in nutrition and it's impact on our mental health, as well as furthering my specialization in ADHD across the lifespan.
I would love to meet with you and collaborate on your goals and treatment.
